Can I customize this system myself

The short answer is anyone can do it.

The longer answer is that you do need to develop some skills, and you need to apply some logic, but neither of those are complicated. Both just involve a little time and effort.

And we're making it easier and easier every day.

Here are a few of the tools we've been building that put you in control of your system...

Edit Views - Let you control the way data is displayed on the screen. You can add fields to the view. Change the formatting. Control who is allowed to edit the underlying data. Even create lookup tables for fields in the display. You can set boxes to select the data you want to see. Click on column headings to sort.

Then you click print. You have the option to save the data to an Excel file, Send it as an email attachment, or just print it.

DocPrint - This is a powerful tool that lets you build an input screen or an Edit View from a simple script file. You can even add fields to a database, gather input, and format a printed document with lines, boxes, bar codes.

DHAShell - This baby is brand new. It allows you to build custom menus--again with a simple script file. It lets you get rid of all those messy icons and puts everything on one screen. You can even switch from one application to another without leaving the screen.

We build in enough flexibility to handle all the needs we've encountered in the last 20 years, so it's quite possible you will never need to make any changes.

And you don't have to worry about what happens to us. Having access to control and script files is like insurance. You may never need it, but if you do, it's there.
